Ardnamurchan Peated Sauternes Cask

Another cracking release from this sustainable, beautiful, remote Highland distillery. Everything they release is exceptionally crafted. This release used 100% peated spirit, which was first filled into 29 ex Bourbon casks for 3 years before being reracked into Sauternes barriques for a further 3.5 years. The rich, waxy spirit from this super sustainable Highland distillery works beautifully with Sauternes, and this first peated sauternes release is a real treat, full of flavours honeycomb and farmyardy smoke. Sounds weird. Tastes delicious.
