Ardnamurchan The Midgie | 2025 Release

A limited edition single malt from the fantastic team at Ardnamurchan distillery. Due to their remote location in the Highlands, the Ardnamurchan peninsula is swarming with tiny biting midgies in the summer months. They can't be ignored and are part of the identity of the Highlands so we love that they are being celebrated on the label of this excellent bottling, this time in collaboration with illustrator Arne Wern. For the 2025 Ardnamurchan Midgie release, the team have used peated and unpeated spirit, aged in ruby port and sherry casks. 

Style: Single Malt

Place: Highlands, Scotland

Made from: Malted barley, 60% peated, 40% unpeated

Production: Double pot still, maturation in ruby port and sherry casks. 

Flavour Profile: Oranges, bonfire smoke, menthol, rock pools and ginger biscuits. 

ABV: 48%
