Caol Ila : Independent Bottling vs Official Bottling

Inspired by our Whisky Club's request for a bottle share based around Caol Ila, we thought it was a great idea to make this an official tasting. 

As the largest working distillery on Islay, Caol Ila is hugely respected by whisky enthusiasts for its consistently excellent quality. With such a huge output, Caol Ila not only serves as the peated component for Johnnie Walker, but is also available as a single malt in official bottlings, and a huge array of independent bottlings. 

We didn't make it to the Islay Festival this year, so we thought we'd bring a little piece of Islay to Spirited for the summer, and share our love of this fantastic distillery, comparing 3 official bottlings with 3 independent bottlings from the distillery. 

Line-up TBC, but expect to see single casks, a range of cask finishes, some high age statements and a lot of very delicious smoky drams!
