Lagg Kilmory

Lagg is the newer distillery on the Isle of Arran, officially opened in 2019 as Arran’s second site, located in the south of the island. It marks a bold step for Arran Distillers to explore peated whisky, complementing their original Lochranza site’s unpeated styles. Lagg is named after the southernmost village on Arran and reflects the rugged coastal character of the area.

Kilmory is Lagg’s core peated single malt expression, matured mainly in ex-bourbon American oak casks with a smaller proportion of sherry-seasoned casks. This whisky offers a smoky, maritime style balanced by notes of honeyed malt, coastal brine, vanilla, and gentle spices. The influence of the surrounding sea is evident throughout, giving Kilmory a fresh yet warming character that showcases the island’s unique terroir.
