Lochlea Orchard and Oak

Lochlea is an independent, family owned distillery nestled in South Ayrshire. With a field-to-bottle ethos, they are one of only two distilleries in Scotland to grow all of their own barley for their whisky production. With a fantastic little team, brilliant ethos and exceptional care for their craft, they are very popular with whisky enthusiasts, and rightly so. 

Having experimented with casks to create limited seasonal releases, they are now launching three core expressions showcasing their learnings with three distinct expressions.

Orchard and Oak showcases the Lochlea character with ex-Bourbon casks, virgin oak and some Calvados casks to really elevate those apples and pears. Fresh, bright and summery, this has notes of sweet caramel, sweet apples and sweet cereal.
